Position Details
Function: Analytical Research & Development (Biologics / Biopharma)
Position: Research Scientist – Analytical Development
Location: Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad), Maharashtra
Qualification & Experience
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or Pharmaceutical Sciences
- 5–10 years of hands-on experience in analytical method development within biologics/biopharmaceuticals
Job Responsibilities
- Analytical Testing
- Perform biochemical assays
- Immunoassays (ELISA, Western Blot)
- DNA quantification (RT-PCR)
- Chromatography: SEC, IEX, RP, SDS-PAGE
- Method Development & Validation
- Develop and validate analytical methods for biosimilar characterization
- Optimize techniques to ensure accuracy & regulatory compliance
- Biosimilarity Studies
- Conduct comparative analysis of biosimilars vs reference biologics
- Evaluate physicochemical and functional attributes
- Data Analysis & Reporting
- Statistical interpretation of analytical data
- Prepare reports for regulatory submissions and internal teams
- Equipment & Compliance
- Maintain and calibrate lab instruments
- Ensure compliance with GLP, DI, documentation standards
- Troubleshooting & Investigations
- Resolve technical issues
- Support laboratory incident investigations
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Process Development, QC, QA, and Regulatory Affairs
Desired Technical Skill:
- RT-PCR, DNA hybridization
- Electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE, Western Blot)
- Capillary Electrophoresis
- Complete Chromatography suite: SEC, IEX, RP, HPLC, UPLC
- Spectrophotometry, Immunoassays (BCA, Bradford, ELISA)
