Packing Line Officer
Experience Required:
2 to 4 years.
Educational Qualification:
Diploma/bachelor’s degree in pharmacy.
Job Responsibilities
1. Line Clearance: Ensure line clearance before the start of packing operations by verifying: Removal of materials from the previous batch. Cleanliness and readiness of the packing area. Availability of correct packing materials as per the Batch Packing Record (BPR).
2. Packing Operations: Oversee and execute packing activities, ensuring: Proper functioning of equipment and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs). Seal integrity of blisters, strips, and other packaging formats. Accurate printing of batch numbers, manufacturing dates, and expiry dates. Alignment and placement of labels as per specifications. Conduct in-process quality checks such as: Leak tests. Visual inspection of packed materials for defects. Carton integrity and final product appearance.
3. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of packing operations in BPRs. Ensure timely and complete reconciliation of packing materials. Record any deviations or non-conformances observed during packing.
4. Process Adherence and Improvement: Ensure compliance with GMP and SOP standards in packing activities. Monitor and report any equipment malfunctions or process issues to the supervisor. Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
5. Audit and Compliance Support: Assist in internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations. Support investigations related to deviations or complaints, and suggest corrective actions.
Key Skills and Competencies: Knowledge of pharmaceutical packing processes and quality checks. Familiarity with BPR documentation and reconciliation. Attention to detail and ability to follow compliance standards. Basic troubleshooting skills for packing equipment. Good communication and teamwork abilities.
